Switching between restart assistance and bridging assistance IV

Until the application deadline of June 15, 2022, entrepreneurs have the option to switch between New Start Assistance and Bridge Assistance IV if the other program is more beneficial to them.

Entrepreneurs can choose between the New Start and the Bridging Assistance IV until the end of the application period on June 15, 2022. After submission of the final financial statement, it is no longer possible to exercise the right to choose. A fundamental difference between the programs is that the funding level for New Start Aid 2022 is directly dependent on sales in the reference and funding periods, while the funding level for Bridging Aid IV is additionally tied to the level of fixed costs in the funding period. Switching from New Start Aid to Bridging Aid IV could therefore be advantageous, among other things, in cases where the fixed costs in the funding period are higher than assumed when the original application was submitted. Conversely, a switch from bridging assistance IV to new start-up assistance is worthwhile if the fixed costs in the funding period are lower than originally assumed.
