Federal government adopts draft of the Annual Tax Act 2024

Shortly after the draft bill, the government draft for the Annual Tax Act 2024 is already available.

On June 5, 2024, the German government passed the government draft for the Annual Tax Act 2024, which will be passed on to the Bundestag for parliamentary deliberation. The government draft comes just a few weeks after the Federal Ministry of Finance presented the first draft of the Annual Tax Act 2024. The only significant addition to the government's draft compared to the ministerial draft is the reintroduction of the residential community benefit, which gives real estate companies tax advantages if they rent apartments below the local rent to people on low incomes.
