Easier access to short-time working allowance also in 2023

The simplified access requirements for short-time working allowance, including the option of taking temporary workers into account, will also apply in the first half of 2023.

The Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has once again extended the simplified access regulations for short-time work benefits. These will now continue to apply until June 31, 2023 for the time being. During this time, negative working time balances will not be built up and it will be possible to apply for short-time working allowance if only 10 % instead of the normal 30 % of employees are affected by a loss of working hours. In addition, the opening of the short-time working allowance for temporary workers remains in place.
