Higher minimum wage from July 2022

On July 1, 2022, the second of three minimum wage increase steps will take effect this year and the minimum wage will rise from 9.82 euros to 10.45 euros.

The statutory minimum wage will be raised three times this year. The two adjustments on January 1 and July 1 have been known for some time, as they are based on the recommendations of the Minimum Wage Commission. On October 1, an election promise is to be realized, according to which the minimum wage will rise to 12 euros per hour. First, however, there will be an increase from 9.82 euros to 10.45 euros per hour on July 1, which will then have to be taken into account in payroll accounting for the next three months.
