Non-cash remuneration values for 2022
The non-cash benefit values will again be adjusted to consumer price trends for food and rents for 2022.
The Bundesrat (upper house of the German parliament) has approved the new non-monetary remuneration values for 2022. In doing so, the values will be adjusted to the development of consumer price indices from June 2020 to June 2021. For meals, the increase is 2.8 %, for accommodation 1.7 %. In 2022, the non-monetary remuneration values nationwide will be as follows

for a free accommodation 241 euros per month (2021: 237 euros) or 8.03 euros per day;

for free or reduced-price meals calendar day 9.00 euros (2021: 8.77 euros), of which 1.87 euros is for breakfast and 3.57 euros each for lunch or dinner. The monthly non-monetary remuneration value is 270 euros (previously 263 euros; breakfast 56 instead of 55 euros, lunch and dinner 107 instead of 104 euros).
