Warning against fraudulent mails

Once again, the tax authorities are warning of e-mails with fraudulent content - this time with the aim of tapping into taxpayers' custody account data.

In a manipulative manner, unknown persons under the name of the company "van Buren Investment Inc." are trying to obtain personal securities account statements of citizens by means of an e-mail. The e-mail is designed to give the impression that the company is acting in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Finance. The Ministry therefore warns against responding to such or similar e-mails.
