ElsterForm can only be used to a limited extent as of 2020

The ElsterFormular software will no longer be equipped with new modules for input forms by the tax authorities from 2020.

The tax authorities had already indicated a year ago that the ElsterFormular software would be available for the last time for the preparation of tax returns and (pre-)registrations for the year 2019. This does not mean that the software will now no longer be usable, but only that no new input forms will be available in the software for the 2020 tax year. As an alternative, the tax authorities offer the "My ELSTER" website, which can be used to send not only tax returns but also various applications, notifications and appeals to the tax office.
