The debt clock is racing - and no one can stop it?
5,094 Euro - that is how much debt Germany currently incurs per second. A figure that is difficult to grasp and yet very real. Who calculates this figure? The taxpayers' association.
In June, this figure was still just under EUR 2,800. Since then, however, the Taxpayers' Association the clock has been turned up significantly.
Why? Because the Federal Cabinet has decided to dip heavily into the credit box for the 2025 federal budget. New debt in the amount of 143.1 billion euros are planned - distributed among:
💰 81.8 billion euros for the regular federal budget
💰 24.1 billion euros for the "Bundeswehr" special fund
💰 37.2 billion euros for the new "Infrastructure and climate neutrality" special fund
What does this development mean for us - and for future generations?
Does this concern us at all? Or do we have to deal with how we as a society want to deal with money, responsibility and the future right now?
At WSB, we keep an eye on developments for our clients and help them to make smart tax decisions, even in complex times.
