The fourth bureaucracy relief law is here - WSB informs about three measures you should know about now
Reducing bureaucracy should reduce the burden on administration, business and consumers. It goes without saying that this is a permanent task. These three key measures have now been implemented by the fourth Bureaucracy Relief Act decided.
Shorter retention periods for accounting documents
The retention periods for accounting documents under commercial and tax law are extended from ten shortened to eight years.
This allows you as a business owner to reduce the costs for the secure storage of your documents, for example because you need to keep less space for their storage. The costs of electronic storage should also be reduced by shortening the deadline.
Digital tax assessment notices
Tax authorities can now make tax assessments and other administrative documents available to you digitally. As the recipient, you no longer have to consent, but can object.
Obligation to register in hotels no longer applies
The hotel registration requirement for German nationals will be abolished. In view of the increasing number of tourist overnight stays by German nationals in Germany, you can also look forward to saving time in your private life.
Is this the big coup to reduce bureaucracy?
