WSB has been supporting the BEAM program on Hölderlin Grammar School - an international educational project that supports students in developing their own start-up ideas and solving real everyday challenges in an entrepreneurial way.

As mentors, we experience first-hand how much curiosity, creativity and forward thinking there is in the young teams. And how impressive the company presentations become year after year - not least thanks to AI-supported tools that the students use with confidence.

In November Jürgen Wolf, partner and auditor at WSB Treuhand in Mannheim, spoke to the BEAM students at Hölderlin-Gymnasium. The program included the entrepreneurial basics that every start-up needs:

• Balance sheet & income statement
• Understanding cash flow
• Structure of a business plan
• First steps in Excel

The exchange was open, lively and characterized by the deep interest of all participants in economic contexts. „It's really fun to see how the teams develop year on year. The enthusiasm that the students bring to the program is absolutely infectious - and we are very happy to support them in turning an idea into a tangible project,“ Jürgen Wolf sums it up.

Partnership at eye level

As a long-term project partner, it is important to us that the young participants understand complex economic relationships and learn to think entrepreneurially and ask relevant questions. For us, the collaboration makes a valuable contribution to promoting young talent and is also an absolutely inspiring change of perspective.

Outlook for spring 2026

We are already very much looking forward to the next joint event in spring 2026, when the students will present their business plans and we will once again be able to support them as sparring partners.
