WSB at trainee speed dating: The turbo for career choice and application
As school graduation approaches, many students are already asking themselves the next important questions: How do I find the career that suits me? How do I convince potential employers of my skills? A new format for career guidance is offered by the Rhine-Neckar Chamber of Commerce and Industry: the Apprentice speed dating. We at WSB think this concept is great and were also on site in mid-April at the Mannheim Max Hachenburg School.
Training companies from the region as well as numerous students from Mannheim accepted the IHK invitation to find out about the individual opportunities. Those who were well prepared were also able to submit their applications directly. "The format offers several advantages for students and training companies. Within a short space of time, both sides get a decisive impression of each other," says Svetlana Ryzhenko, partner and tax consultant at WSB's Mannheim office. "Our industry is our passion. We show what attractive professional training is possible in a tax firm," she adds.
To whet the appetite for training - to report authentically and provide insights into the theoretical and practical parts: Jasmin Merdes, office management trainee at WSB's Mannheim office, shared her experiences and talked to the students in person about the content of the training and everyday working life in a tax firm.
Jasmin is finishing her apprenticeship at WSB this summer and is very happy to have chosen this path: "I would do it again any time," she says happily.
