Here the tax office starts a Pilot project and sends selected taxpayers ready-made proposals for the 2024 income tax assessment, containing all the data that the office already has electronically (e.g. wages, pension and social security contributions).

The recipients only have to check the proposal - and can simply report any income and costs that have not been taken into account. If they do nothing further within four weeks, the tax office will automatically send them the final income tax assessment. And that's it.

Taxpayers save time and nerves - and the tax office saves staff.

If the project goes well, it may set a precedent nationwide!
