About Jochen Hummel
Jochen Hummel studied economics at the University of Heidelberg. During his studies, he was already an employee of the law firm WSB, which he joined in 1996 after completing his studies as assistant tax consultant and head of the firm. In 2001 he was appointed as a tax advisor and in the same year he became a partner of WSB. Under his leadership, the new office in Heidelberg was opened in 2002.
He specializes in advising nationally and internationally active companies and group structures, in particular in the field of international tax law. He also accompanies and structures corporate transactions in Germany and abroad as part of an interdisciplinary team. In 2009, he was appointed as a specialist advisor for international tax law and assists his clients in inbound and outbound cases, coordinates the opening of foreign branches and the establishment of foreign companies in Germany.
The region is close to his heart. That is why he is involved with WSB as a sponsor in numerous social projects, events and clubs in the region. In addition, he is committed to promoting young talent and supports inclusive projects. For example, he is a lecturer in tax law at the DHBW in Mannheim and honorary chairman of the board of Integra e. V. in Walldorf.
