E-invoicing: the future of invoicing

What you need to know and can do now

The future is digital. Technical changes and adaptations will increasingly shape everyday business. This presents many companies with numerous challenges: keeping processes under control while staying technologically up to date.

WSB supports you with implementation — so we can move into the future successfully together.

Why e-invoicing matters — and the legal timeline

The introduction of e-invoicing is intended primarily to combat VAT fraud. The takeaway: adapting your processes to e-invoicing is essential.

You may already have first experiences with e-invoicing. What matters now is implementing suitable software solutions and processes in good time.

Key questions at a glance:

What is an e-invoice?

The “e” stands for electronic. An e-invoice is structured invoice data transmitted purely electronically.

  • can be transmitted,
  • received automatically and
  • further processed.

This enables end-to-end digital processing from invoicing through to payment.

What are the benefits of switching?
  • Save resources (time and money)
  • Greater sustainability and environmental protection
  • Compliance with legal requirements (Directive 2014/55/EU)
  • Ensure legally compliant processes across your company
What timing and legal requirements apply?

Applies to all companies from:
