BEAM, education, enthusiasm - Congratulations, Steffen Haschler! 🌟
In our day-to-day work as a tax firm, we encounter many committed personalities. People with attitude, ideas and the courage to rethink things.
One of them is Steffen Haschler.
A person who doesn't make a big fuss about himself - but moves all the more.
For over a decade, he has been teaching at the English Institute Heidelberg the subjects of mathematics, computer science, physics and media education. With specialist knowledge, enthusiasm and the ambition not only to teach learning, but to develop it further.
Rethinking education
But his commitment does not end in the classroom. As co-founder of the non-profit initiative „sparks4school Foundation gGmbH“, he is committed to transforming innovative programs into effective teaching and giving teachers new scope for creativity. One of these programs is BEAM.
BEAM stands for „Business, Entrepreneurship, And Math“ - an international educational program focusing on entrepreneurship and innovation. The aim is to promote entrepreneurial thinking at an early age and to make economic interrelationships tangible in a practical way.
We at WSB have been supporting the BEAM project as a partner for more than three years. We support the participating student groups with economic issues - from business plans and cash flow to balance sheets and profit and loss accounts.
„BEAM shows what is possible when schools allow entrepreneurial thinking. We see young people there who take responsibility, become creative and really want to understand economic relationships. For us, supporting this project is more than just a commitment - it is an investment in the next generation,“ explains Jürgen Wolf, partner and auditor at WSB Treuhand in Mannheim, and adds:
„We are particularly pleased that Steffen has now been recognized for his work. He stands for a form of education that is encouraging and finds ways to redefine teaching. This is exactly what our society needs.“
An award, more than deserved
The fact that his commitment has left its mark is demonstrated not least by his pupils. Secretly nominated by his own graduating class, Steffen Haschler has now been honored with the „German Teacher Award - Innovative Teaching“ 2025 in the „Outstanding Teachers“ category.
Around 6,500 participants from all over Germany - and he is one of only ten award winners.
An award that not only recognizes his professional expertise, but above all his extraordinary commitment to rethinking learning and establishing innovative educational formats in schools on a sustainable basis.
Dear Steffen,
We congratulate you from the bottom of our hearts - on this special honor and on what you accomplish every day.
It is a pleasure and an honor to be able to accompany you and the BEAM project as a partner. 🤝
Here's to many more ideas that leave their mark! 😊
